Google searchers finding search planes

While people looking for famed aviator Steve Fossett using Google Earth have found many interesting places for searchers to look, some of the tips have led to the searchers' own aircraft.

Trooper Chuck Allen said that people using the program should set their elevation at 1,000 feet to avoid picking out search aircraft.

Hundreds of tips have come into the command center for the search, located at Minden-Tahoe Airport. Those tips are being processed by Douglas County Search and Rescue personnel and volunteers familiar with the program.
