Table setting event set

Holiday Forecast is the theme for the second annual Adventures in Table Setting event sponsored by the Douglas County Republican Women, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, at Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville. Proceeds from the event support scholarships given in June.

Tables will be dressed for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Guests can pick up new ideas for holiday decorations and will be given a chance to vote for a favorite table. Coffee, punch, tea, sandwiches and cookies will be offered. Raffle tickets may be purchased for drawings.
