The public is invited to tour an examination room at Carson Valley Medical Center on Nov. 14 for victims of sexual assault.
The county's Sexual Assault Response Team received a $20,000 grant last year to furnish the room to aid in the examination of sexual assault victims and prosecution of the assailant.
The Sexual Assault Response Team includes representatives of local organizations and agencies to provide the medical equipment, treatment, advocacy for the victim and prosecution.
An open house is set for 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Carson Valley Medical Center, in the main lobby, l107 Highway 395 in Gardnerville.
