Beatrice Schroth Kibler Lindsay


1918-2007


A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Coventry Cross Episcopal Church in Minden for Beatrice Schroth Kibler Lindsay, 89, who died Oct. 17, 2007, in Gardnerville.


Mrs. Lindsay, daughter of Karl Emil Schroth and Hattie Irene Stull Schroth, was born June 6, 1918, in Mission Acres, in the San Fernando Valley of California. She moved, with her family, to Central California at the age of five. She married Keith William Kibler, April 9, 1937. They had one son, Theodor Lee Kibler. Later she married Ernest Lindsay, Aug. 28, 1971. They enjoyed camping and traveled in all of the 50 states. She belonged to many organizations including the Episcopal Church Young Women's Club, Republican Women's Club, senior citizens, La Se, state and national China painters organizations. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an accomplished China painter. She worked as a retail clerk for 20 years and did home health nursing for many years.


She is survived by her son Ted Kibler Sr.; seven grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. By her request, memorial donations can be made to the Coventry Cross Episcopal Church building fund.




N. Christine Platte


1930-2007


No services have been announced for N. Christine Platte, 76, who died Oct. 10, 2007, at her Minden home.


Mrs. Platte was born Nov. 20, 1930. She married David Platte and retired from a career with the State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair.


She is survived by her husband David A. Platte of Minden; her son and his wife Jack and Paula Gorman of Loomis, Calif., as well as three grandchildren.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Memorial donations can be made to Barton Memorial Hospice in Gardnerville.
