Ken and Bea Borges, residents of Johnson Lane in Minden for 16 years, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary in Maui. The couple was married Oct. 11, 1952, at St. Joseph Church in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii. The Borges met in high school while attending St. Anthony's Boys and Girls School in Wailuku, Maui.
The couple had three children, Kenneth Louis Borges of Wailuku, Maui, Rosemary Corinne Borges, (deceased), and Julianne Marie Tom of Gardnerville. The couple will share the event with many family members and friends at the Dragon Dragon Restaurant in Kahalui, Hawaii.
