Girls' Soccer: Douglas shuts out Wooster

The Douglas girls' soccer team (9-4, 6-2) posted its eighth shutout of the season and the Tiger offense broke out with a flurry of second-half goals for a 4-0 win.


Wooster battled the Tigers to a scoreless tie at halftime, but Danyelly Heidt got the Tigers on the board with a goal in the 46th minute off an assist from Lisa Christen.


Christen assisted Alexandra Laing in the 57th minute for the 2-0 lead and Michelle Day scored in the 73rd minute to push the score to 3-0.


CJ Baumgartner capped off the scoring for the Tigers three minutes later off an assist from Laing.
