Douglas Fabrication moves from 100-year-old location

Welder Bruce Wise, known for forging brand irons for Valley ranches, is moving his business Douglas Fabrication from its Minden location.

For 27 years, Wise has been operating his business from a century-old red barn near the intersection of Esmeralda and Highway 395 in Minden.

"After 22 years of leasing the building, the owners want it back," said Wise.

Wise said he is currently looking for a new location and is thinking of building a new facility. He said he is still working for regular clients but will also be doing some on-site work for Rite-Aid in Gardnerville, which is planning a remodel.
