Halloween Roundup



-- Children go door to door in a mock ghost town to collect candy and participate in contests for prizes at Trick or Treat Safety Street, 3-8 p.m. tonight at the CVIC Hall in Minden. The annual event is sponsored by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, local businesses and service organizations. There is a $2 cover charge per child.



-- Trinity Lutheran Church's Harvest Party is 5-7 p.m. tonight, at the church, 1480 Douglas Ave., Gardnerville. The free family event features live music, games, food, Halloween candy and an Astro Jump bounce house. Information, 782-8153.



-- Calvary Chapel's annual Harvest Festival, 5 - 8 p.m. tonight, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on Pinenut Road. Cost is a donation of two unopened bags of candy per family. Non-evil costumes are encouraged. Free food, drinks, games, cookie decorating, a cake walk, live entertainment and lots of candy. Information, 265-3259.

Trunk or Treat: Costumed children trick or treat for candy from trunks of cars in church parking lot. Labyrinth in the church fellowship hall, recommended for middle and high school students.
