Sandra Neil Lewis


1944-2007


A memorial service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Autumn Funerals & Cremation in Carson City for Sandra Neil Lewis, a Topaz Ranch Estates resident, who died, Nov. 3, 2007. She was 63 years old.


Mrs. Lewis was born on May 17, 1944, in Hayward, Calif. She grew up and attended schools in Hayward and Castro Valley. She married Dale Lewis on Sept. 27,1969, in Reno. The couple moved to Placerville, Calif., in 1981. They moved to Topaz Ranch Estates in 1997. Mrs. Lewis worked for Carson Valley Inn as a hostess for Katie's Restaurant for 10 years.


Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband Dale of TRE; children Coral Ann Hennessey of Pollock Pines, Calif., Sherry Lynn Morris of Placerville, Calif., "D.J" Clarence D. Lewis Jr. of Placerville, step-daughters Brenda Goswick of Arkansas and Theresa Crain of Oklahoma; sister Karen Archer of Hayward, Calif., and 15 grandchildren.


Arrangements are in the care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations. The family requests that those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Mrs. Lewis' memory, direct them to St. Mary's Hospice.




Lawrence E. Mau


1942-2007


No services are planned for Lawrence (Larry) E. Mau, 65, who died Oct. 30, 2007, at the Veterans Hospital in Reno.


Mr. Mau, a seven-year resident of Gardnerville, was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Los Angeles to Chester and Ethelyn Mau. At 17, he graduated from Temple City High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for nine years. He later served in the Naval Reserves for an additional five years. While in the Navy he met his wife, Joy. He retired from Puente Ready Mix in La Puente, Calif. as a truck driver in 2000. He was a member of the DeMolay, Temple City chapter in California. He was a benefactor member of the National Rifle Association.


He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joy Mau of Gardnerville; daughter Candace Miller and son-in-law Brandon Miller of Plumas Lake, Calif. and granddaughters Alaina and Victoria.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Burial will take take place in the Veteran's section of the Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
