Foothill woman killed in wreck

A Foothill woman was identified as the person killed Frirday morning in a fatal accident at Highway 395 and Muller Lane.

Kathleen Holton, 58, was driving a 2001 Subaru Forrester eastbound on Muller Lane.

She stopped at the sign and then pulled out in front of a 2004 Ford F-350 pickup. The Ford, driven by Jacks Valley resident Donald Leverty, 59, struck the driver's side of Holton's Subaru.

The accident occurred at 7:54 a.m.

Holton was declared dead at the scene. Leverty was taken to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, where he was treated and released.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
