Authorities evacuating Kingsbury neighborhood

Authorities are asking people to avoid the Kingsbury Grade area while firefighters battle a half-acre blaze.

Douglas County Sheriff's deputies are warning residents that the fire is headed for homes and are asking them to leave.

The fire was reported at 11:56 a.m. at the intersection of Easy Street and Palisades. Tahoe-Douglas firefighters are responding, according to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center Web site.
