Wings of Change air show coming on June 22-24

Minden-Tahoe Airport's "Wings of Change" air show returns to the Valley June 22-24. There is no admission fee and parking is free.

This year there will be many types of aircraft on display.

There will be close-up displays of military, sport and aerobatic planes.

Airport Manager Jim Braswell, assisted by Operations Manager Keith Kallman and Debra Lambrecht, have an all-star line up scheduled.

There will be a professional announcer to keep things moving and to describe the aerobatics.

Magic Radio 95 will be broadcasting. NASA will be present along with Navy aircraft. Douglas County Sheriff's and East Fork Fire & Paramedic Districts will be on hand with displays.

The local model airplane club will be showing beautiful hand-made models.

There will be refreshment stands as well as the Taildragger Café.

Planes will begin arriving June 22.

There will be a pancake breakfast from 7:30-10 a.m. June 23 with opening ceremonies beginning at 9 a.m. followed by balloon launches and aerobatics performances.

The dinner, dance and silent auction will be 6-10:30 p.m. in the Hutt Hanger.

June 24 will be more of the same beginning at 7:30 a.m. Bring the children and they might get a free airplane ride.

Volunteers are needed for this event. All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and lunch.
