An information session to learn about Western Nevada Community College's new bachelor's degree in construction management is 7 p.m. May 17. College counselors and instructors will be available in the Reynolds Center for Technology to discuss the new program and the requirements for application.
The first upper-division courses for students admitted into Western Nevada Community College's new bachelor of technology degree program in construction management are scheduled for this fall semester at the Carson City campus.
Organizational Behavior & Interpersonal Behavior, MGT 323, and Environmental Law, CEE 411 will be offered, along with a number of lower-division (100-200 level) classes that apply toward the 128-credit bachelor's degree, as well as the two-year associate degree in construction project management.
Students must be admitted into the bachelor of technology in construction management program in order to enroll in the upper-division courses. To be accepted into the program, applicants must complete an associate of applied science degree in construction management from WNCC or elsewhere, or follow a pre-BTech track that includes 45 credits of construction and general education courses, and considers construction work experience. Students must also work with a WNCC counselor and submit an application for the BTech program that is approved by the college.
