Park Cattle settles lawsuit with former president

A confidential settlement has been reached between Minden's Park Cattle Co. and its former president Bruce Park, the company announced today.

Bruce Park filed the suit in Douglas County District Court in October 2005, naming the company and three Park directors.

A countersuit was filed by Park Cattle in April 2006 and in a court hearing held on the claims District Judge Dave Gamble told both parties to find a way to reach a settlement.

Gamble and retired Carson City District Judge Michael Fondi guided the parties to the settlement.

"We are pleased to end this litigation so that we can focus on continuing to grow and diversify Park Cattle's asset base," said Park Cattle Chairman Craig Sullivan.
