After the successful Shriners Hospitals screening clinic at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center on March 7, Kerak Shriners honored Michael Edmunds, MD, with a plaque for 10-plus years of outstanding commitments to the Shriners Hospitals. Through the coordination of screening clinics by the Kit Carson and Carson Valley Shrine Clubs, Edmunds has recommended hundreds of children for treatment by the hospitals. Shriners Hospitals provide treatments free of charge.
Kerak Potentate Steve Sanders presented the plaque to Dr. Edmunds with comments from clinic coordinators Joe and Carolynn Crowdis of Kit Carson Shrine Club and Bob and Jan Pohlman of Carson Valley Shrine Club.
