Updates on Douglas grads for the week ending March 18, 2007

BASEBALL

Bryan Miller, jr., OF, Troy University: Scored a run in a 12-6 win over Florida Atlantic.

Cal Lewis, sr., 3B, South Dakota State: Went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBIs and three runs scored in a 13-4 win over Creighton and hit a double and scored a run in a 5-1 loss, went 1-for-4 in an 11-1 loss and went 1-for-3 with two runs scored in a 6-3 win as Missouri State took two of three from the Jackrabbits over the weekend.

Chris Honer, soph., P, Point Loma: Threw two innings in a 9-5 win over Biola, giving up three hits and two earned runs.

Shane Cauley, jr., OF, Chico State: Chico swept a four-game series from Western Oregon over the weekend.

D.J. Brady, fr., OF, Mesa College: Mesa is 16-16 overall and 4-12 in conference play.

Chad Walling, soph., INF, Western Nevada: Scored a run in an 11-0 win and went 1-for-4 with two runs scored in a 6-0 win as Western Nevada took three of four from Colorado Northwestern

SOFTBALL

Kristy Olsen, jr., 3B/OF, Iowa State: Scored two runs in a 6-3 win over Sacramento State, went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored and two stolen bases in a 9-1 win over Mercer and went 1-for-5 in an 8-4 win over Santa Clara. She is 13-for-13 on stolen base attempts this season.

Brittany Puzey, soph., OF, Nevada: Went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in a 4-2 loss to Liberty, stole a base, scored a run and drove in a run in a 3-2 win over national No. 10 Baylor, went 1-for-4 in a 3-1 loss to No. 25 California, drove in a run in an 8-3 loss to No. 23 Hawaii and went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in a 7-4 loss in the third-place game of the Hawaii Invitational to Cal.

Valerie Smith, soph., C, Columbia: Went 1-for-3 in an 8-0 win over Rider and went 1-for-2 with a run scored in a 2-1 win over Florida A&M.

TRACK & FIELD

Daniel Sipko, jr. , Eastern Oregon: No meet last week.

Ryan Bertucci, fr. , Chico State: No meet last week.
