Plus-size models, items needed for fashion show

The Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club will host its third annual Spring Fashion Show Extravaganza at Genoa Lakes Golf Course from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 29. Proceeds will benefit special needs children and their programs in Douglas County.

The women's club will partner with area stores such as Baby Willow's, Gottschalks, Belle's Boutique, Maurices, Pazazz, Rain, Hot Cha Cha and The Watermelon Patch for this year's runway fashions. The event will showcase clothing for men, women and children to suit every occasion.

The club is seeking plus-size female models for the fashion show. Anyone interested is asked to contact Jennifer Norman at (775) 315-0064 or jennifer2030@hotmail.com.

The club is also asking for silent auction items to support the cause. Any business interested in donating an item, or interested in placing an ad in the show program, is asked to contact Shannon Johnson at (530) 545-2639 or singler77@hotmail.com.

Community projects and fund-raisers are at the heart of the Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club. Each woman in the club is between the ages of 20 and 39, and anyone is welcomed to join.

Tickets to the April 29 event can be purchased online at www.sierranv2030.org or by calling (530) 545-2639. Ticket prices are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. The benefit will feature a wine lunch, silent auction, raffle and the fashion show.
