• The Quilt House of Gardnerville has been featured in a special edition of "Better Homes and Gardens" as one of the best quilt shops and is having a party to celebrate 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

• An open house party starts 4 p.m. Friday for the celebration of the new office of Sandra Wendel, Landscape Architect, in Minden.

• Sugarplum Bakery & Treats will remain a cornerstone business in Genoa under the new management of Therese Abraham-Noble. The bakery continues to be known for fresh-baked bread and pastries but will add Chicago-style pizza to the menu.

PEOPLE

• "Follow that Rabbit - The Wonderland Story" will be presented by Carson Valley Middle School students at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the CVIC Hall in Minden. The musical is an adaptation of Lewis Caroll's "Alice in Wonderland." For information call 782-2265. Page B1
