Monday's high temperature blew the previous record out of the water, according to the National Weather Service.
The previous record for March 12 in Minden was set in 2005 when the high temperature was 75. The record for March 13 was also set in 2005 when the high hit 76 degrees.
According to Minden weather watcher Stan Kapler, Monday's high hit 84 degrees, crushing the previous record. The way things look, the high today will also crack the record.
