Bingo for Biaggini successful

The Knights of Columbus reportedly had the largest turnout ever, with 205 attending the bingo fundraiser for Douglas County Sheriff's Capt. Mike Biaggini at St. Gall Catholic Church on Friday. Players brought their train whistles, which they "toot-tooted" in honor of "two-two" when the number 22 was called. Guest of honor Biaggini played bingo at the fundraiser. Funds raised will go toward travel expenses to and from his cancer treatments in California. This is the third time Biaggini has undergone treatments for colon cancer since 2001.

"The turnout was overwhelming," said Grand Knight Chuck Ripoli. "It was a great success. Everybody had a good time."
