Paul DeLeon

Services took place March 3 in Fairfield, Conn., for Paul William De Leon, who died Feb. 18, 2007, in Fairfield.

Paul was born Oct. 10, 1914, in Oakland, Calif. A third generation Californian, he was a resident of South Lake Tahoe from 1970 to 2002. After graduating from University High School in Oakland he worked at various jobs including Jewel Tea and then as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for 32 years. He worked part-time as a Realtor in Oakland while serving the community in many leadership positions. He and his wife, Aileen, moved to South Lake Tahoe upon his retirement from the Post Office and he worked as a Realtor in South Lake Tahoe until full retirement at age 85. He was a Eucharistic minister at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Aileen; daughters, Linda Anne De Leon and Lorna May Hart; grandchildren, Kevin Paul Bowman, Elisabeth De Leon Bowman, Christopher Joseph Bowman, Heather Hart and Brian Hart; sister, Bernice Krogh; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four sisters and brothers.
