Gardnerville has new dentist

Dentist Eric Park grew up in Sacramento and spent a month walking around Lake Tahoe in pre-Rim Trail days.

"It seemed like a perfect place to raise a family," he said.

Eric Park and wife Elizabeth Park are dentists who are now working with Dr. Walter Niemeyer in Gardnerville.

The Parks were on the faculty at Loma Linda Dental School and had a private practice at South Lake Tahoe. They had traveled around the world on international dental mission trips to Africa, Mexico, Belize, Bolivia, Fiji and Guatemala, but wanted to settle down.

"We were looking for a practice to purchase but Dr. Niemeyer will still be with me," Eric Park said. "We're here. This is going to be our home base."

The Parks purchased his practice but Niemeyer will continue to work there on a more limited basis. Elizabeth Park works at both the Gardnerville office and in her Carson City practice.

The Drs. Park and Dr. Niemeyer provide all general dentistry services.
