Douglas County Democrats opened their new headquarters on June 21.
Approximately 75 people attended the grand opening at the new location, 1662 Highway 395, Suite 105 in Minden.
Guest speakers included Valerie Biden Owen, sister of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, and Nevada State Democratic Party Chairwoman Jill Derby.
Other Democratic presidential candidates sent representatives to the event, including Gov. Bill Richardson and Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.
The Douglas Democratic Party is focusing on the Jan.19, 2008 presidential caucuses and needs people to get involved.

The next meeting of the Douglas County Democratic Central Committee will be 7 p.m., July 12.
