Gardnerville couple celebrates 60 years

Elmer and Billie White celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 16. The couple was married June 14, 1947, in Cambridge City, Ind. in a small back yard wedding. Elmer is a retired airline mechanic for United Airlines and Billie is a retired circuit board inspector for Cinch-A-Graphics

They lived in Southern California most of their married life and moved to Gardnerville in 2002. They have five children, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. They volunteer in the community and enjoy camping with several camping clubs.

There was a family celebration on Saturday.
