BLM seeks comment on plan

The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City Field Office, has released the Alpine County Proposed Resource Management Plan Amendment for public view.

As part of the proposed plan amendment, an environmental assessment has been prepared to analyze designation of approximately 19,000 acres of public land suitable for retention and conveyance for community expansion purposes, trails and travel management on public land and allotments available for livestock grazing.

A public open house will be held during the regular meeting of the Alpine County Board of Supervisors, 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The Alpine County Administrative Office Building is located at 99 Water St., Markleeville.

Public comments will be accepted through July 18. Comments should be addressed to Donald T. Hicks, manager, Carson City Field Office, Bureau of Land Management, 5665 Morgan Mill Road, Carson City, NV 89701.
