Coleville High grad married June 2

Nicole René Duffié married Lt. Eric J. Bell June 2 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Washington, Ill., Pastor Alice Gwin performing the ceremony. The bride's father, John Duffié walked her down the aisle.

The bride, daughter of John and Doris Duffié of Gardnerville, was attended by maid of honor Jenn L. Urias of Sacramento and matron of honor Leah A. Wellisch, both friends from college. The flower girl, Kaitlynn Herbst, and ring bearer, Andrew Herbst, are cousins of the groom.

The groom was attended by Lt. Nicholas Smith, a college friend of the groom, and members of the VAW 113 Squadron, the world famous Black Eagles, Lt. Daniel Walker, Lt. Peter Tamminga, Lt. Matt McLaughlin, Lt. Ernest Lietzan, Lt. Sam Kesler, Lt. Charles Simon and Lt. Vincent Nguyen. A reception for 200 guests followed the ceremony at the Weaver Ridge Country Club in Peoria, Ill.

The bride was a 1998 graduate of Coleville High School and a 2003 graduate of University of the Pacific and is currently employed in the field of theater arts.


The groom, son of Kathleen Elizabeth Bell of Washington, Ill, is a 2002 graduate of the University of Michigan, serving in the U.S. Navy, VAW 113-Washington, Ill., and Camarillo, Calif., as a Naval Flight Officer.
