Tahoe students arrested for trespassing

Five South Lake Tahoe High School students were arrested Monday for trespassing at Douglas High School.

Douglas County Sheriff's Sgt. Tom Mezzetta said the five students - a 17-year-old, three 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old - also were cited for truancy from South Lake Tahoe High School.

Mezzetta said one of the truant students had been on the Douglas campus previously and was asked not to return, but showed up Monday.

"We don't know what they were doing there," Mezzetta said. "We searched their car, but there was no contraband. The juveniles were cited for trespassing."
