Jessica Vega, a 14-year Gardnerville resident, recently contracted Guillain-Barre Syndrome. She is partially paralyzed and requires physical therapy and ongoing medical treatment.
"Her medical expenses are ongoing and exorbitant," according to friends of Jessica. "Our hope is to help defray some of these costs."
Jessica's friends are hosting a spaghetti dinner and fundraiser to take place at Carson Valley Middle School Multi-Purpose Room on June 28 from 5:30-7:30 pm. All proceeds from this event will go to the Vega family for Jessica's care and expenses.
Ticket for the spaghetti feed are: General admission $10, 5 and younger $5, and a family ticket for $25.
There will also be a raffle and silent auction with items donated by local businesses.
