A preliminary estimate on the size of the Coleville fire is 150 acres. The fire is burning west of the Calfiornia town just over Douglas County's southern border.
Fire crews were making good progress getting a line around the fire overnight helped by bands of rain.
Structures are still listed as being threatened. The fire started at 3:23 p.m. Friday when lighting struck on the hillside. The fire is burning in pinon juniper and brush.
An update on the fire is expected by 10 a.m.
