Lighting ignited a fire in a tree in the Pine Nuts about seven miles above East Valley Road. Firefighters from East Fork and the Nevada Division of Forestry are responding to the 2:15 p.m. call.
There have been several lightning strikes in the Sierra from a storm that came up this afternoon. Light rain fell in Minden and Gardnerville.
