There will be sales on school gear, raffle drawings, Indian tacos, music and pony rides at the third annual Giant Yard Sale, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 18, at the Hidden Treasures Antique Thrift Shop, 1224 Pep Circle, Gardnerville. All proceeds benefit the Family Support Council's domestic violence programs and the women/children's shelter.
The sale's theme is Back to School and there will be discounts on school clothing and supplies. There will be many vendors participating with a wide range of products, raffle drawing for prizes throughout the day and hourly specials for additional discounts on store merchandise.
The Washoe Tribe will be selling Indian tacos, pony rides on Gizmo are $5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and music will be provided by Sierra Storm DJ.
Vendor space is still available for this event at $25 plus a donation of one item for the raffle. To reserve a space, contact Cynthia Danielson, 783-8869.
