The R-C Morning Report

There's a ton of stuff to see and do this weekend. The play Sylvia kicks off its second set of shows tonight at 7 p.m. There's a matinee and an evening show both on Saturday and Sunday. The matinee's at 2 p.m. The Elks Carnival will be at Lampe Park through Sunday.

The owners of Tahoe Ridge Winery are consolidating their wine production, which takes place at the Airport, under one roof. They are up for consideration at Thursday's commission meeting. Also up before the liquor board on Thursday, an alteration for Jimmy G's license from full bar to a cabaret discotheque liquor license. And a new bar sign is proposed to hang in downtown Gardnerville with Rich's Highway Club across from Sharkey's.

It will be clear and hot today with a high temperature of 96 degrees. Saturday will be pretty close to the same thing. Sunday a slight chance of thunderstorms crops up and then moves off. The highs will definitely be in the 90s with lows in the 50s. It's 51 degrees in Genoa this morning.
