Fire continues to burn in Alpine

The Poor Boy Canyon fire is at one acre, according to the Sierrra Front Interagency Dispatch Center Wild Web system.

The fire was started by a lightning strike at about 4:28 p.m. A thin trail of smoke can be seen from most of the Valley.

The fire is burning above Markleeville.
