Katie Pagen and Mike Hackler wed


Katie Pagen and Mike Hackler, both of Gardnerville, were married May 19, 2007, in a garden wedding at the Orchard House in Genoa. Bishop Robert Hook officiated the ceremony.


The bride, daughter of John and Tami Pagen of Gardnerville, was attended by maid of honor, Nicole Corpron of Sandy, Utah, and bridesmaids including her cousins, Erin Smith and Jaclyn Pagen, and high school friends, Christa Keele and Michelle Paterson Vorkink.

The groom, son of Rick and Cathy Hackler of Gardnerville, was attended by best man, his brother, Kevin Hackler, with other gentleman attendants including the bride's brother Thomas Pagen and friends Ian Roberts, Jeremy Godfrey and Andrew Ringnes.


The bride is a 2004 graduate of Douglas High School in Minden, a student at Brigham Young University, Hawaii; University of Nevada, Reno; and the Western Nevada College nursing program. She is a nursing student and also works as a substitute teacher and office assistant. Pagen is employed by Sierra Physical Therapy in Minden and the Douglas County School District.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School and student at Truckee Meadows Community College. Hackler completed the Western Nevada College Paramedic Program in 2007 and is currently a seasonal engine captain/paramedic intern for East Fork Fire and Paramedic Districts.


A reception followed the ceremony at the Orchard House in Genoa with a honeymoon at Sorensen's Resort. The couple plans to make their home in Gardnerville.
