Learn about pond construction and water gardening at the Northern Nevada Pond Club's 10th annual pond tour on Saturday.
The event features the chance to visit with pond owners in Douglas County and Carson City to talk about fish, plants, waterfalls, fountains, streams and landscaping in ponds ranging from simple to elaborate.
The schedule includes tours of Carson City ponds 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and of Douglas County ponds noon to 4 p.m. Addresses and map will be provided with tickets.
Tickets are $10 per person, $15 per couple and are available at Oasis Water Gardens in Reno, Greenhouse Garden Center in Carson City, Carson Valley Garden & Ranch in Gardnerville, Northern Nevada Nursery in Minden and Dayton Valley Floral & Nursery in Dayton.
