In the Super Bowl spirit, the Douglas Animal Welfare Group will hold its Super Dog Saturday, a pet adoption event at the Douglas County Animal Shelter, 921 Pinenut Road, Gardnerville, Feb. 3.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature free spay or neuters for most adult dogs and cats adopted and special "super dog" gifts.
Volunteers with the Douglas County non-profit organization will also throw a "tailgate party" for all visitors, featuring chili and hot dogs.
