It's snowing in Carson Valley

Snow has been falling on the Valley floor for the better part of the day.

A snow advisory will remain in effect until 8 p.m. this evening.

Bands of snow associated with a strong cold front have moved south of Reno.

Periods of snow will continue into this evening from Washoe Valley to Douglas County with heavy snow at times, especially around Carson City.

Snowfall totals of two to four inches are expected locally.

We've had several reports of slick road conditions making driving tough on motorists down the 395 corridor, so use caution while making your way home.
