The update of the Douglas County master plan was approved by a narrow margin after a 3 1/2 hour debate this morning.
Commissioners Dave Brady and Kelly Kite voted against the update.
In other county news, first-term commissioner Doug Johnson was appointed chairman of the county panel. Brady was named vice chairman.
The weather outside is frightful and snow fell on and off through the day. If the snow that fell at 1 p.m. fell at 1 a.m., we would be digging out.
At nightfall, snow was starting to accumulate. Watch out for slick spots in the mountains on the way home. The winter snow advisory is supposed to expire at 7 p.m.
