Taco John's opens Jan. 11

Taco John's, known for Taco Tuesdays, is set to open Jan. 11 in Minden.

The Taco John franchise has freshly made favorites like burritos, quesadillas and nachos, as well as Taco John's own self-serve salsa bar, Potato Olés and the Choco Taco.

"We're upscale to Taco Bell," said Minden store owner Paul Studebaker. "It's a West-Mex taste, slightly spicy. Everything's made fresh with custom spices, tomatoes, onions and peppers."

Studebaker expects to have good business in the location on Highway 395 next to McDonald's and across Highway 88 from Douglas High School. Taco John's is hiring. Call (775) 815-9998 for information.
