- In a year-long effort, the Carson Valley Arts Council has researched the best possible way to bring a performing arts center to the Valley, deciding on the old Copeland Lumber building in Minden. The project will initially cost $500,000 for the purchase down-payment, then millions to renovate the building. The third in a series of fundraising concerts will take place Saturday, Feb. 24 at the CVIC Hall in Minden, featuring acoustic guitarist Beppe Gambetta, with a reception at 6 p.m., concert at 7 and dessert at 8:15.
