Honor choirs and bands from all over Northern Nevada are at Douglas High School today practicing for regional competition on Thursday. More than 20 different schools are represented in the 2007 Northern Zone Nevada Music Educators Associaton concert 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Sewer work in Gardnerville and Minden is expected to be done this week, according to Engineer Bruce Scott. Work is part of regular sewer line replacement done by the Minden-Gardnerville Sanitation District. Work on resurfacing the roads may have to be delayed until after the wet weather pattern we are still anxiously awaiting.
A storm expected to bring rain to the Valleys appears to be breaking up against the Sierra this morning, so far. Some pretty strong rainstorms appear to be hitting the Sierra foothills and slowly making its way west. At present there is a 14 mph breeze out of the southwest and the temperature is 55 degrees.
