Donna Elbert

1933-2007

No services are planned for Donna Elbert, 73, who died Feb. 2, 2007, in Gardnerville.

Mrs. Elbert was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Fresno, Calif., to Laurence and Marion Gill. She married William Elbert, June 28, 1953, in Fresno. They lived in Lake Tahoe for 26 years and she worked at Harrah's and Harvey's, retiring after 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Jeffrey. She is survived by her daughter Jodie, her husband John Vineyard and granddaughter Kaitie of Minden; her daughter Kristie and her husband Jim Buschta of Fresno, Calif.

Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Douglas County Mortuary. Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.

Patricia Ann Ferguson

1935-2007

A celebration of life is 1-4:30 p.m. March 17, 2007, for Patricia Ann Ferguson, 71, who died Jan. 12, 2007, in Reno at Renown Hospital ICU.

Mrs. Ferguson was born Oct. 26, 1935, and was a member of many clubs, including the Reno Historical Society, Reno Newcomer's Club, a Quilt Guild, and the Ravishing Red Hats. She was an 18-year breast cancer survivor. Occasionally she and her sister Nancy (when Nancy lived in Dayton) would meet and attend Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville. She was a gifted seamstress and a true "world traveler," after she retired from U.S. Airways.

She is survived by her son Barry and his wife Laura of Topaz Ranch Estates; grandson A.J. Ferguson of Clovis, Calif.; sister Nancy Barnes of Fair Oaks, Calif.; nephew Steven Barnes and his wife Sharon; great-grand niece Ashley of Fair Oaks, Calif.; niece Carey and husband Erein Robles; great-grand niece and nephew; Alyssa and Ryan of Meadow Vista, Calif.; granddaughters Rita and husband Aaron Duncan, Lila and husband Mark Horner, Shelby Rose Horner, who named her G-Grandma Tricia, all of Crescent City, Calif.

The celebration of life will take place in Reno, hosted by Barry, Laura, and and her sister Nancy. Friends may call Laura at 266-4943 or Nancy (916) 966-6552 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Patricia Ann Ferguson.

Roy P. Partridge

1922-2007

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Coventry Cross Episcopal Church, 1631 Esmeralda Place in Minden for Roy P. Partridge, 84, who died Feb. 1, 2007 in Gardnerville.

Mr. Partridge was born Aug. 1, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Paul and Tennie Partridge. After high school he served in the U.S. Air Force for 13 years. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He married Vivienne Marie Dean, May 5,1967 and lived in Houston, Texas before moving to Gardnerville 26 years ago. He worked in real estate and construction. He was a member of Coventry Cross Episcopal Church and helped in the Coventry Cross Thrift Shop.

He is survived by his wife Vivienne Partridge of Gardnerville; daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Tom Hoyle of Gardnerville; daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Brian Krauss of Katy, Texas; son and daughter-in-law William and Mary Ferguson of Woodbury, N. J.; two brothers Billy and Francis Partridge; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces Candy Croasdaile and Terri Waggener.

Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
