The Partnership of Community Resources announced the 2007 winners of the Holiday Card Design Contest. This contest was designed to showcase youth talent in the community and gather some great designs for holiday cards. The winning designs will be made into greeting cards which will be available for purchase this fall from the Partnership of Community Resources. Proceeds from the sale of the cards will benefit substance abuse prevention efforts in Douglas County.
And the winners are:
-- First place, Johnnie Saletti, third grade, Piñon Hills Elementary School; Nathan Tripp, fifth grade, homeschooled; Elizabeth Vineis, seventh grade, Grace Christian Academy; Kevin Roberts, 12th grade, Douglas High School.
-- Second place, Zoe L.M. Behar, third grade, Lake Tahoe School; Alex Tessman, fourth grade, Minden Elementary School; Dana Christensen, ninth grade, Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School; Allison Andraski, 12th grade, Douglas High School.
-- Third place, Caitlyn Bidart, third grade, Minden Elementary School; Courtney West, fourth grade, Minden Elementary School; Sandy Lopez, ninth grade, Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School; Sydney Mackey, 10th grade, Douglas High School.
