The National Weather Service is giving 1 in 5 odds Carson Valley will have a white Christmas this year.
A storm is scheduled to bring a 40 percent chance of moisture to the Valley on Sunday night in the form of rain or snow. The forecast shows a 40 percent chance of snow on Christmas Eve with the chance dropping to 20 percent on Christmas Day.
There won't be much wind associated with this blast, so it might actually do something.
