Katherine Tapella

1907-2007

A private memorial service will take place in Grants Pass, Ore. for Katherine "Kitty" Tapella, 100, who died Dec. 7, 2007. She had celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends on Nov. 1, 2007, in Black Diamond, Wash.

For many years, Mrs. Tapella was a librarian in San Leandro, Calif. She was an active member of the Minden Unity Church of Today and treasured her many friends there. She was an avid bridge player, a creative seamstress and enjoyed working in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband Peter Tapella and her daughter, Suanna Jeppesen. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Art Skipworth, grandsons Bill and Peter Skipworth and Fred Edwards, granddaughters Katherine Edwards and Sheila Boardman and two great-granddaughters Hannah and Rebecca Edwards.

Arrangements are in the care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations in Carson City.
