The Coleville High School boys' basketball team opened its season by winning its home tournament, the Coleville Lions Club Invitational.
The Wolves topped Big Pine 69-19 Friday as Trevor Anderson scored 14 points and Jason Peters had 13 to lead the team.
Marco Barajas scored 11 points and Jay Clark rounded out a balanced scoring effort with 10.
In the tournament championship Saturday, Coleville beat Whittell, a 2A school, 49-47, holding off a late charge from the Warriors to capture the win.
Peters led the Wolves with 20 points and Jake Westerlund added nine.
