Two arrested in Ecstasy sting

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team arrested an Gardnerville man and woman Monday after discovering Ecstasy pills, three loaded handguns, Kevlar body armor, a sawed-off rifle and a small amount of marijuana in their home in the 1300 block of Kitty Hawk Avenue.

The street enforcement team conducted a two-week investigation on Kirk Edward Scott, 21, who was suspected Ecstasy distribution.

During the course of the investigation, investigators purchased a total of 73 Ecstasy pills from Scott at the Kitty Hawk residence.

Scott was arrested at his place of employment on Heybourne Road and was booked into Douglas County Jail on four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a short-barreled rifle.

His bail was set at $135,000.

Diamond Yvonne Johnson, 22, was arrested at the Kitty Hawk home and booked into county jail on one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of a short-barreled rifle. Her bail was set at $35,000.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the home and seized an additional 18 Ecstasy pills from the home, along with the guns and body armor to culminate the investigation.
