The Republican's Horsing Around in Douglas is Saturday as are a number of other annual events, including the 20-30 Club's truck pull at the Fairgrounds and Austin's House annual fundraiser will be at the Horizon in Stateline. High temperatures are supposed to peak today with a warm 96 degrees. It will cool off a tad on Saturday and then drop back into the 80s by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Still no sign of precipitation in the forecast. There's no telling whether our early September cold snap will hit this year or not.
