Registration begins at St. Gall for religious education

The St. Gall Catholic Church Religious Education Department is accepting registrations for the new school year. Classes begin the week of Sept. 9.

The program offers classes for children in kindergarten through 10th grade. Preparation for the sacrament of First Holy Eucharist is two years, usually completed in first and second grades. The sacrament of confirmation requires two years of preparation as well, completed in ninth and 10th grades.

The class schedule is as follows:

-- 4-5:15 p.m. Tuesdays: first through sixth grade

-- 4-5:15 p.m. Wednesdays, kindergarten through sixth grade

-- 4-5:15 p.m. Thursdays, first and second grades

The gym is open at 3:30 p.m. for supervised snack and play.

Grades 7 through 10 will meet 3:30-6 p.m. two Sundays a month. Mass is celebrated at 5 p.m.
