A memorial service for John Robert Marshall, 58, Gardnerville resident for the past nine years, will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at United Methodist Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Marshall died Sept. 24, 2005, in Gardnerville. He was born May 14, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., to Charlie and Minnie Marshall.
He married Penny Marshall on Oct. 14, 1989, in Las Vegas.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Bellflower for 21 years.
He graduated from high school.
Mr. Marshall worked as an electrician for Delta Electric.
He was a member of the Oak View Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Marshall on Jan. 6, 1998.
Among his survivors are his wife; children Jenny and Cissy Marshall; his parents and nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary's Hospice, 520 W. Sixth St., Reno, NV 89503.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
